You’ve always wanted to take a pottery class, so treat yourself! You will be expertly guided by our skilled instructors in our sunny and friendly studio. Our Handbuilding & Throwing class covers working with the wheel, trimming and adding feet and handles to pots, as well as pinching, coiling, and slab construction to build forms that can’t be made on a wheel. All classes cover finishing and decorative techniques. Beginners focus on developing basic skills and learning about the many options for surface and form, while intermediate and advance artists work on larger vessels, lidded pots, sculptures, complex forms, and refining, finishing and decorating techniques.
All students define their own goals and work on their own level. Instructors guide each student at the student’s own pace and based on the student’s interests. Adult classes include all Open Studio hours for continuing work started in class and practicing. Birthday parties, private lessons, workshops, kids’ classes, and other special events are available.
